Why do you need a Rescheck?

The REScheck reveals the building’s thermal envelope performance, which is the key to a comfortable and efficient home. The thermal envelope is everything that keeps the heat in (or out) of your home, including the windows, doors, walls, ceiling, and floors. A well-sealed and insulated thermal envelope can save you money on your energy bills and make your home more comfortable year-round.

The first step in conducting a REScheck is to enter basic information about the building, such as the climate zone, type of construction, and square footage. With this information, REScheck calculates the building’s energy consumption and compares it to the IECC or NECB prescriptive requirements.

If the building’s energy consumption does not meet the code requirements, REScheck provides a list of recommended measures that can be taken to improve the efficiency of the building. Once the recommended measures have been implemented, REScheck can be used to verify that the building meets the code requirements.

REScheck is a valuable tool for builders, architects, and energy consultants who are looking to design and build energy-efficient homes. By using REScheck, they can ensure that their homes will meet the strict energy code requirements, while also providing their customers with comfortable and efficient homes.
